Kullar College is pleased to have Dr. Sheila Smith McKoy join us as our Program Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Dr. Smith McKoy has over three decades of experience in leading diversity efforts, focusing on diversity leadership, curriculum, and programs. She has worked in senior leadership at the cabinet, college, department, and executive director levels, working in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Leadership, Anti-Racism, and Diversity Change Management.
She has been a tenured faculty member and administrative lead at Vanderbilt University, North Carolina State University, and Kennesaw State University, as well as at Duke University and Saint Augustine's University. Dr. Smith McKoy has also served as Provost at Holy Names University.
She is a change management and diversity & inclusion thought leader, academic leader, scholar, and writer. Her work at large and small private colleges and universities, large public universities, and board leadership has been recognized nationally and globally. Author and co-author of seven books and numerous articles, she is also a poet and documentary filmmaker.
Dr. Smith McKoy holds BA from North Carolina State University, an MA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a Ph.D. from Duke University.
